The misconception however that one’s standing with God is contingent upon living a faultless and blameless life, a life without ‘sin’ has resulted in many believers losing faith and getting discouraged. The idea of living life as “a child of God” becomes so lofty and unattainable and Christians become deceived into thinking God is mad at them.
However, the reality for sons is a paradigm shift, an acknowledgment that their security is not rooted in their own perfection but in the perfect love and grace of God. Grace gives us a new life which is not condemned by God. Through God’s grace we are forgiven, transforming our thinking, resulting in the renewal of our mind and heart. Through grace we live the kind of life that God would like every one of His children to experience.
At the heart of a son’s assurance lies grace, the unearned and undeserved favor bestowed upon them by a loving Father. This grace, freely given, becomes the bedrock of their security, a constant in the face of their imperfections and shortcomings. This can only be understood through seeing the saving work of Jesus on the cross.

Secured in the understanding of their unshakable security in God, sons walk in confidence, not in their own abilities, but in the steadfast love of their Heavenly Father. This confidence is tempered with humility, recognizing the source of their security and expressing gratitude for the unmerited favor they have received.
The security of God’s sons is a testament to the transformative power of grace and the enduring impact of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Beyond behavior, beyond perfection, lies a security that remains unshakable, anchored in the boundless love and grace of a God who sees His children through the lens of redemption.
Sons stand firm, not in their own righteousness, but in the righteousness imputed to them through the saving work of Jesus Christ.
